In dit boek gaat Matthew Huber in op de dynamiek van het kapitalisme en wat dit betekent voor de strategie om de klimaatcrisis te bestrijden. Hij stelt dat de klimaatbeweging te veel geworteld is in een smalle ‘hoogopgeleide’ laag van de maatschappij. Huber stelt daarom dat de klimaatbeweging moet proberen aan te sluiten bij de behoeften van de meerderheid – de arbeidersklasse – en hen organiseert op het niveau van productie. Daar ligt de economische macht om overwinningen af te dwingen en het kapitalisme te breken.
